  Second visit here today to eat outside - lonely setting and helpful staff but I'm afraid the food is distinctly average. I had shepherds pie from the specials menu it was only barely hot, the lamb wasn't minced and came with an infants size portion of peas in a tiny bowl. We skipped desserts and went for an ice cream at the Italian ice cream place round the corner. Our previous visit was similar so if we return it will be for a drink and people watching...

  We hosted our wedding reception in the upstairs of the restaurant. Before the event we were very hesitant as the staff seemed very "chilled" about the day and everything being ready in time.
  
  On the day we dressed the room with help from the staff, and on arriving back at the restaurant everything was laid out perfectly.
  
  The staff were all very friendly and all meals delivered as expected and all hot. Not bad for 60 at once!
  
  Would definitely recommend the restaurant for functions or just a nice meal while in Bath.

  Visited last night for what we thought would be a nice meal. Appetizer of mussels (4 shells not open and two empty out of a bowl of 12 - no spare mussels in dish) and crab on toast just ok. The steak and guinness pie came in a large bowl with very little meat at bottom, the chicken was very dry. We did not complain as another table were busy complaining to management about their meal. We will just never return or recommend it to anyone.
